Senior Care
... touching lives in practical ways

Nelly

The positive impact that registered therapy dogs have had while visiting in home care, health care facilities, schools and day care centers is well documented and growing.

The data with seniors has shown :
    • lowered blood pressure
    • increased movement and speech
    • revival of memories
    • an overall calming effect

Helping Hands also recognizes the tremendous benefits that a therapy dog visit can have on home care clients.

Nelly is registered with PATS (Pacific Animal Therapy Society) and as the newest member of the Helping Hands team, she visits clients and brings a unique companionship that is proving most beneficial. Nelly is hypo‐allergenic and non‐shedding. At the specific request of each client, a visit can be arranged.
