Senior Care
... touching lives in practical ways

Nelly and Kona

The positive impact that registered therapy dogs have had while visiting in health care facilities, schools and day care centers is well documented and growing.

The data with seniors has shown :
    • lowered blood pressure
    • increased movement and speech
    • revival of memories
    • an overall calming effect

Helping Hands also recognizes the tremendous benefits that a therapy dog visit can have on clients.

Both Nelly and Kona are registered with PATS (Pacific Animal Therapy Society) and as the newest members of the Helping Hands team, they visit clients and bring a unique companionship that is proving most beneficial. Our dogs are hypo-allergenic and non‐shedding. At the specific request of each client, a visit can be arranged.
